We have three leagues which focus on:

• learning respectful sportsmanship,
•  learning Godly character,
•  team work, 
•  learning and improving floor hockey skills while having fun.

Younger League: 7 - 9 year olds

Intermediate League: 10 -12 year olds.

*Advanced  League:  13-15 year olds.

Children may sign-up on a first come – first serve basis. We will have a limited number of teams.   Open the hockey application here:  Hockey_Application10[1].  Regular registration price has been extened through Aug. 26 due to our phones being down.

The season begins with a Skills/Rules Clinic on Saturdays August 14 and 21, from 9 AM -11AM.  All first year players are should attend a skills clinic.  Please bring your child to one of these sessions.

The clinic is important in providing a standard introduction to all the children. It will also give the coordinators a chance to assess skill levels. Teams will be assigned after this session. All children are placed on a team.

Practices and games take place in the Ferguson Church Gym.

Practices:  Weekday evening, except no practices on Wednesday evening.

Each coach chooses a consistent night for practice. There will not be any practices on Wednesday evening. You will be contacted about team assignments and practice times.

Games take place Saturday mornings from mid-Sept through Nov. 20. Each team will have a game each Saturday. Dates and schedules for games will be distributed at the first practice.

Cost: $40.00– registration:  After Aug. 23 cost is $45.00-late registration.

You may pay by cash or check, payable to Ferguson Church of the Nazarene.

Place registration and payment in an envelope marked “floor hockey” to the church or school office

 Cost provides each child with:

a Hockey jersey which includes their name on the back (*new fall 2010 year)

end of season awards,

end of season pizza party

and meets the need for paying for officials, equipment, and background checks.

Uniform is the provided team jersey, with your own shorts or pants and tennis shoes with non-marking soles.

Each child will need a hockey stick. We have a few for sharing.

We provide pucks, full goalie gear, goalie sticks and some hockey sticks for sharing at the gym.

We encourage all children to wear shin guards.

*Helmets, teeth guards and eye protection are also encouraged for the younger and intermediate leagues.  They are required for the Advanced League*.

Parents are asked to work together to keep the gym and areas used clean and all equipment in the gym.

 Who: Boys and Girls 12-17 years old

 What: Little League style with Pitching Machine

 This is a trial year so it is not being advertised to the general public.  We would like to have fun, exercise, enjoy ball, and enjoy Christian fellowship as we try this out.

The teens are putting together a fundraiser for the M.T.V.,  Making Teens Vicorious, ski trip in

January of 2011.  Please help support the youth.

Our club is committed to the  physical, mental, social and spiritual growth of children.  We use an active, hands-on learning approach to help kids discover, develop, experience and grow.

Our club has groups for children in pre-school – 6th grade.  Children have fun, build friendships, learn about the world around them, and “grow in wisdom, and stature and favor with God and man”.

Anyone from the community is welcome anytime.

We meet at Ferguson Church of the Nazarene each Wednesday night during the school year form 6:30 – 8:00 pm.   You’re invited to visit this site for information on Registration and schedule.

Campout and Float Trip

 August 27th – 28th.

We will meet at the church at 5:00pm on Friday evening and arrive back at 5:00pm Saturday. Cost is $45.00 per camper, plus additional money for food. See Bret Freeman for more details!
